Alison joined the Brown University School of Public Health and the CHPHE in 2022 as an associate professor of Behavioral and Social Sciences. A distinguished researcher, teacher and mentor, she partners with faculty, students and local community members to produce research on factors that influence eating behaviors early in life among historically marginalized populations and to develop community-based interventions among these populations. In April, Alison was one of two recipients of the Dean’s Award for Excellence in Community Engagement. For all of these reasons, we look forward to seeing her lead the CHPHE.
Thank you to outgoing CHPHE Director David Williams, Ph.D., who has been serving as both the director and as Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs since December.
Please join us in congratulating Alison on her new role.
Sincerely,
