I am pleased to share the news that Benjamin Zoll will be joining Brown University as Vice Dean of Advancement for the School of Public Health. His first day at Brown is October 1.
In this new role, Ben will be based in the School of Public Health and be part of our senior leadership team, reporting to me. He will oversee School of Public Health fundraising efforts and implement a new program focused on engaging individuals who are not affiliated with Brown but who have an interest in supporting public health initiatives. Patrick Schaefer, Director of Development, will continue his good work in support of public health fundraising as part of the Advancement division team and will report to Ben. Together, they will coordinate closely with Advancement colleagues working with alumni, parents, and friends who are public health prospects.
Ben brings to Brown extensive experience in development with an emphasis on public health. Most recently, he served as Assistant Vice President for Principal and Major Giving at Boston Children's Hospital Trust, where he oversaw fundraising across a number of hospital programs. Prior to joining Boston Children's, Ben served as Senior Director of International Advancement for Harvard University, where he led efforts to grow Harvard’s global engagement and developed new university-wide fundraising strategies for all international geographies, with a particular focus on Asia. Ben has a master’s degree from the Jackson School at the University of Washington and a bachelor’s degree from Hamilton College.
Please join me in welcoming Ben to Brown and the School of Public Health.
